The year is 2008 and the music scene is looking for something fresh and different but at the same time, music that people can relate to and enjoy. In the 1950's it was Rock & Roll with a heavy Blues and Jazz oriented sound that influenced the music of Elvis and Jerry Lee Lewis as well as Nat King Cole. In the 1960's it was the sound of the Beatles and James Brown as well as the developing sounds of the Beach Boys, and the sounds of the Motown era. In the 1970's it was the sound of groups such as Led Zeppelin, Kiss, The Rolling Stones, The Bee Gees, and Donna Summer. In the 1980's, the Pop sound became more diverse with music and Artist's ranging from Michael Jackson to New Kids On The Block, Prince, Madonna, Whitney Houston and the Heavy Metal and Glam era with groups such as Motley Crue, Guns & Roses, and Metallica. In the early 1990's, it was the emergence of Hip Hop and R&B music into the mainstream pop genre with Artists such as Dr. Dre , Snoop Dogg, Notorious Biggie Smalls, Puff Daddy, and 2 Pac. It was also the birth of a new sound and style of Grunge and Alternative music with Artists such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains. As it neared towards the year 2000, the Pop music sound took a new shape with Artists such as Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera. In the new millennium, there have been many breakthrough Artists that have come out with different styles and sounds that have captured the ears of the Mainstream such as Ricky Martin, Alicia Keyes, Linkin Park, Eminem, Gwen Stephani, Justin Timberlake and The Black Eyed Peas. However, musical styles and different genres have been played out and people are looking for something fresh and different. It is apparent that music has the ability to not only entertain but to captivate as well as transcend emotions, trends, and lifestyles.
Xperimental Entertainment's primary focus is the development and the breakthrough of viable and talented Asian and American Artists in the Mainstream. We are striving to go beyond the boundaries of stereotypes that have chained Asian Americans from expressing our true identities and visions as a collective voice. It has been said that all good things worthwhile are worth waiting for. We feel that we have waited long enough and that our time is here.
It is only recently that Asian Americans have gained the respect and attention of the mainstream media; however, the door to acceptance is not wide open. Xperimental Entertainment is here at the forefront to break open that door for a new era of Asian Artists. We are confident that with the right talent, perseverance, hard work and faith, our dreams will become a reality.
CEO's William Pyon and Young-Hu Kim first started in this industry as Song Writers, Recording Engineers, and Producers so they have a keen ability to recognize what type of music will be accepted in different territories as well as what trends and fads will be short lived and what kind of Artists will have longevity in this industry.
William Y. Pyon, CEO of Xperimental Entertainment started out as a songwriter while still in high school. What started out as a hobby turned into a professional music career when he collaborated with the Multi-Platinum selling Korean Artist, Seo Taiji, whose debut album sold close to 2 million copies, setting a new precedence in the Korean Pop music scene. Since then, he has written and produced for some of Korea's top Artist's such as BoA, TVXQ, Shinhwa, and Fly to the Sky among many others. Branching out into the American Mainstream, William has worked on numerous projects including 2Pac ("Until The End Of Time" / "Better Dayz"), Jordan Knight ("When You're Lonely"), 3LW ("A Girl Can Mack"), Jennifer Lopez ("Love Don't Cost A Thing") and A-1 ("The A List"). In 2005, with the launch of Xperimental Entertainment, he strives to become the visionary who will put Asian and American Artists in the Mainstream.
Young-Hu Kim began his career as a Composer and Producer at the tender age of 15 when he was signed to S.M. Entertainment, one of the largest Music Labels in Korea. As one of the youngest and most talented Producers to emerge onto the K-Pop Music Scene, he has Written and Produced numerous #1 hits such as "I Pray 4 U" by Shinwha, "My Prayer" by BoA, "Whatever They Say" by TVXQ and "Replay" by Shinee to name a few. Young-Hu Kim's success in collaboration with William Pyon in the Korean music industry, led to the creation of a music production company in Los Angeles in 2001. In 2005, he co-founded Xperimental Entertainment, a Company specializing in Artist Development, Management and Media Production. Setting his ambitions high, Young-Hu Kim's ultimate goal is to create a new sound that will help define the wave of Asian and American Artists to break through onto the Mainstream Music Scene.

With the conception of the Asian American Popstar contest in 2005, Xperimental Entertainment launched a talent search for Asian American Artists who are striving to make an impact in the mainstream music scene. As a finale to the contest, Xperimental Entertainment produced the first "eXposure: voices of a second generation" concert in May 6, 2006. The concert featured top established Artists in the U.S. and in Korea, with the Grammy Award Winning Group, "All 4 One" from the U.S. and the acclaimed Artist "Wheesung" from Korea. The Asian American Popstar Contestants were the Main featured Performers and it proved that there are many truly amazing and talented Asian American Artists who simply have to be given a chance and the opportunity to showcase their talent. The concert was such a great success in both production and entertainment value that we at Xperimental Entertainment are planning to make "eXposure" an annual event. Since the eXposure concert we have Produced Events and Shows for Mercedes Benz at the Hollywood Park, Koream and Audrey's Anniversary Event at the Mercury, and The Woonjin Coway Launch Ceremony at the Wilshire Grand as well as Koream's "Unforgettable 07" at the Park Plaza Hotel. We are currently in the planning stages for bigger concerts and events.
